In search of Don Quijote is a performance exploring the boundaries of the vocal recital. After the novel of Cervantes and compositions by Maurice Ravel, Jacques Ibert and Enrique Granados, we aim to present the character of Don Quijote, the Knight of the Sorrowful Countenance and his love, the princess Dulcinea. Don Quijote, lost in his foolish dreams, thinks that he is a knight in an age where knights don't exist anymore. Is he a fool, or is everyone around him a fool? And who is Dulcinea? Is she real or does she only live in his imagination? Is she really whom Don Quijote thinks she is?
The performance blends literature and classical music and shows a transformative and innovative approach to the vocal recital.
